INTERNATIONAL EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT

To maintain our education standard, students in Year 3 to Year 6 participated in an external assessment similar to the PISA annually, in February. The assessment is conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), and this assessment is administered to many international schools around the world. All assessment are externally prepared and marked by ACER.

Area of assessment includes:

  • Reading Literacy
  • Mathematical Literacy
  • Writing

The assessment results provide useful information to monitor students over time as they move through the primary grades. It acts as a checking device to ensure appropriate development is taking place each year. This external assessment is in addition to the ongoing internal assessment, which is administered each year from Preparatory to Year 6.
