ADMISSION
POLICIES AND PLACEMENT

If you wish to enrol your child at St. Mark’s International School, you are required to purchase an Application Form from our Registration Office.  The cost of each Application Form is 2,000 Baht and each application form is valid for one student.  The 2,000 Baht application fee paid is inclusive of the School’s admission testing fee.

The pupil’s age on the 31st of August of the academic year of admission will normally determine the class the student will enter.  Every child seeking placement at St. Mark’s will be required to take the School’s admission test.  The School operates a non-selective entry procedure and it is our duty to admit any student regardless of race or religious views.  As a general guideline, our admission test comprises of English language and Mathematics assessment.  For children seeking placement in Nursery or Kindergarten, the aim of their admission test is to assess the child’s readiness to adapt into the school’s daily program, their ability to follow simple instructions and to communicate.   Upon payment of the application fee, our admission officer will arrange a suitable day for the admission test to be administered.

After the admission test, our admission officer will hold a meeting with prospective parents, explaining the result and interpretation of the tests. We encourage parents to ask any questions they may have during this meeting.

Should the test results indicate that the applicant’s language competency level do not meet the standard of the School, the applicant may be required to take English Support Program. This program will assist the child in adjusting to the School’s main program.

In circumstances where there is no place available in a particular class, the School will recommend that your child 's name be placed on the School's waiting list.  In such case, a reservation fee is required to have the applicant’s name on the waiting list.
